Why I Built Business Networked

When I started my web design & SEO business a few years ago, I started going to business networking groups in my area to meet other business owners. My goal was to meet people, make friends, add value, help them out, and grow my network of friends.

I believe making friends is what business networking is about. Making friends first, finding people I like, then maybe we’ll do some business at some point.

My business mantra is, ‘Friends First. Business Always.’

I realized very quickly though, most business network groups aren’t based on friendship at all. They’re typically based on shallow, money-oriented, empty, transactional relationships.

These groups have mostly been built with the mindset of scarcity and fear, not abundance and success.

So, I decided to start my own.
